Sweden part 3 the funny company

Hi hi, again a new part of my vacation in Sweden. These is the part where you get to meet the people that were with me on my vacation. They are Hanne, Jana and Karen. With my name Hanne it all are pretty names with an A. The third picture was taken just before our departure by car in Antwerp. Oh yeah, today my Vivien of Holloway trousers arrived and strange enough they fit like a glove, when I say strange I mean the length I'm only 1m60 tall and they are a perfect length for me, what do taller people do then ?? But oh well, my luck :).

Sweden part 2 the yummy food

Here's a little view on what I ate while I was in Sweden. A lot of really really yummy things!! Something that I didn't photograph were my chocolate macarons, ooh so delicious. The best thing I've ever eaten, I'm certainly going to make it myself. One evening we went out for dinner at La Casa in Stockholm. Really cozy and really yummy food, I had the seafood pasta and my friends each ate a different pizza, with that we drank some white wine. Once and a while we also ate some Mc Donalds or Burger King. When we slept in our tents, we put up our little kitchen and made yummy meals. We even had a mini bbq. And off course I ate a lot of chocolate cake (kladdkaka) which was my absolute favourite dessert of my whole vacation. Then in the youth hostel we stayed at in Stockholm, I ate the most fantastic Smoked Salmon Sandwich ever!!!! Oh yeah, we ate millions of strawberries that we would buy next to the road. They would always have a cute little sign saying "Jordgubbar". Having picnics was also very fun to do.

Freeday on friday

Today I had my day off from work, my freeday on friday. The funny thing is friday in my language (vrijdag) if you translate it literally it really is freeday. It's really sunny today, but the warmth is a bit blleeehh, that's the thing in Belgium, normal heat almost never excist. But we can't complain, it could have been rain instead. I woar one of my dresses that I bought in Sweden, which I will show you more clearly in my chapters about Sweden. Now on my shopping spree I bought 2 pairs of wedges. One were only €3 and the other originally from the 40s/50s (they were old stock) were only €20. But again, I will show them to you later on. I also bought 2 pairs of earrings and a necklace from the 50s, some cute hangers for my clothes and a vintage apron. Ok I don't have my own kitchen yet, but I like to bake cookies or cake ones and a while and it was only €2,5, so what the heck. This is how I looked today. My bangs are getting longer now and I tried to do something different, not perfect yet, because my bangs are still to short, but it's getting there, patience patience patience...

Sweden Part 1 the beautiful nature

The first part of Sweden and one of the most important ones. The most beautiful nature I've ever seen. Sunsets you say oooohhhhh to, beautiful lakes and sandy beaches. A forest on your left and a big rock on your right, while a moose crosses the street (which we named Foena). Such a beautiful country. But I'm going to let the pictures do the rest of the talking, just because they're so beautiful. Oh yeah you can see my bathing suit in the second picture on top, where I'm standing in the water.

I hope you enjoyed part 1 of Sweden. There are still 6 parts coming, at least if I don't make up another part, hence almost 2000 pictures to choose from. But until then, enjoy your tuesdayevening.

Something pretty and something necessary

I just bought 2 things. Something I've been longing for almost 4 months and something I really needed. The first thing are earrings I've been drewling over for a long long time and I finally bought them, I'm lucky nobody snatch them away from me. And second, but not last !! I bought myself some 40s black trousers from Vivien of Holloway. Since I bought my Freddies, I realised the joy and comfort of trousers again. And now that I finally found models that suit me and that I feel pretty in, I really needed a second trousers, so there you go, I bought them. Now I just have to wait for them to arrive.

The world of advertising

A while ago, I found tons and tons of old advertising campaigns of the 40s. Mainly about food. I really really love them. It's so cool that they used to draw every single advertising by hand, instead of taken pictures like they do now. I find the old way much prettier. And they also used a lot of humour in them!

Hairdo's and outfits of the week

This is a quick view of how I looked throughout the week for a part of it. Some new things I bought in Sweden and a shirt I only bought yesterday. But that will all be shown later on my blog. By the way, everything about Sweden is still to come, but if selecting between almost 2000 pictures the ones I want to keep is hard, imagine selecting a couple of pictures for one humble blog :) so I got my work cut out to show you the best of Sweden. Now this weeks review....
Photobucket
Top picture features a new skirt and bottom picture features a new cardigan. I love putting flowers in my hair, I brightens everything up immediatly.
Photobucket
This picture also features a new cardigan. Here without buttons :) it had ugly big fake golden buttons, a bit too much, I bought pretty black buttons, which will make the cardigan a lot less fake sailor and just pretty as it's supposed to be.
Photobucket
This picture features my cute new shoes and the blouse I only bought yesterday. And the most beautiful earring I have ever owned and my cute pink sunglassesbrooch (bought before Sweden). Oh yeah and off course my beloved Freddies, couldn't live without 'em. So now you just have to wait until I show you my Swedenadventure, the place that's heaven to me!! Tonight going to dinner and see a scary movie with my sister Evelien. Until then good day to you!!

Just wanted to let you know that I'm back from Sweden, sadly enough, so wanted to stay there. Belgium has nothing against Sweden. One day maybe I'll move to Sweden!!
