A last kiss goodbye

This will be the last post for about 2 weeks or so. I'm leaving tomorrow night for my holiday in Sweden. My friends and me are going on a roadtrip through Sweden. I've been waiting so long to go to Sweden. I'm scared I won't want to come back to Belgium anymore :). You can also see me wearing my badge from work in one of the picture, the one I look rather bad in, I might add, but I got up at 5.45 am and had to work until 5 pm, so an excuse to look a bit bad! It was also very difficult not to wear all my pretty clothes, I had put aside most of them to take with me to Sweden, but managed to keep a few, not to look all that bad at work. So ladies and gentlemen a last kiss goodbye until I come back from Sweden. But please have some patience for the first post when I come back, because I start working the day after I come back, so rest will be needed. But until then, great weekend everybody!!

Sweden

Just 3 days until I leave for Sweden with 3 of my closest friends!! It's going to be so amazing !! I've been waiting to go to Sweden like forever. I'm going to enjoy every single moment of it.

barbecues, birthdays and babies

Today was my sisters 25th birthday. For this occassion, my other 2 sisters and husbands come over for a barbecue. I love to barbecue so much :). And also my cute little nephew Jasper came too. Being funny in his little barbapapa outfit. I got to wear my polkadot haltertop for the first time. I bought it on ebay when it was still winter so, a bit chilly to wear something like that. But I really love it. It's going to be worn a lot in Sweden. Today I used my curling iron again to curl my bangs and they were much better comparing to yesterday.

Picnic by the water

Saturdaynight I went out with my Swedenfriends. We went to some gigs. As usual I stayed the night over, so I didn't have to go home so quickly. The day after ---> sunny sunday!!! We went to the waterside and had a little picnic by the water in the sun! I got to wear my new sunglasses again and my pretty embroidered white 40s blouse. I also bought a curling iron the other day and used it to make my bangs shorter. This is ideal while I let them grow out. The first time result was good, but because of the warmth my bangs dropped a couple of inches.

Here are some random pictures of the last 2 weeks or so. While I was out with my friends. The ones I'm going to Sweden with, which is only 6 days :).

Summer loving....

.... happened so fast!!! It's finally sunny again here in Belgium. I wonder how long it's going to last. But as long as it lasts I'm going to enjoy it! These are outfits from the past 2 days. The first one is a blouse I've had for about 5 months now. And it's finally sewn to my size. I just love the fabric and the pattern so much !!!

In the second outfit, you can see my new old sunglasses I just bought yesterday. I love them, there just my size !! And in perfect condition. I also bought myself some new hairflowers which are perfect for summer weather!

Sunny stripes

This is what I woar today. Something summery and happy!!!! A dress that swirl and flows in the wind, just amazing !! And finally you get to see how well my curls are going lately. I'm really proud of myself. And I'm really in love with my own tattoos, I'm super happy with them, the tattooartist couldn't have done a better job!! Thumbs up for Joachim from Tequila Tattoos.

Polkadots

I bought this shirt at Ebay the other. I absolutely love it so much !! Can't wait to wear it in Sweden with cute little sunglasses running in the sun.

Sleepy mornings outfit

This is what I woar to work yesterday. My 80s goes 40s red shirtdress, matched with my polkadotbelt (my absolute favorite at the moment) and my plump cardigan. Please mind the sleepy eyes in one of the pictures but to defend myself it was 6 am. Only 1,5 weeks left until I leave for Sweden for 2 weeks :) woohoo !! And oh my, look at the length of my bangs, so so sooooo long!!! But I must resist cutting them, if I want to try more hairdo's!

Todays outfit

Finally my camera's battery is up and running!! So outfits and things will be shown again ! This was what I woar today. I was planning on selling this skirt, it's a wraparound skirt, but now while wearing it today I'm not sure I will sell it. The other day, I showed you some feet pictures of mine, and a box with something inside. Well what was inside of it is the beautiful bicycle brooch you see me wearing, I love it !! Now I've got 3 bicycle brooches and 3 completely different ones. Again my hair succeeded very well !! unfortunatelly again on a sunday :) the day I usually stay at home. But it's good practice!! I've find a new and easy way to make kind of a neckroll. First i pinned the hair with bobby pins. But now I roll my hair as a loop into my neck and clip it with a big hairclip placed inside and underneath the roll, so almost no hairclip is showing, and it's much more secure then bobby pinning the hair!! I"m growing my bangs and they are starting to annoye me, but I must resist from cutting them. Because I wanted to find out if I look good with 40s 50s hairstyles that don't have bangs! Pleasant sunday everyone !

Flowers in spring

I finally have (or at least when it arrives) an embroidered flowery vintage blouse. I've been wanting that for a while now and managed to buy it on Ebay for only €11. Then I also bought these flower earrings from the 50s. The earrings were only €6. Allthough it's spring, it's still very shilly here, we had a couple of warm days, but alas it's very cold now, 10 degrees ain't what you call spring. But to compensate I will wear flowers everywhere I can!!!

Fairytale

Feet

Ohhh yippie, I managed to squeeze 1 picture out of my camera. Today me and my sister cleaned out her dark room from when she studied photographie. While cleaning out that room, I found two fun pictures she took of me. Both of my feet :) which I found very funny ! One is barefoot lying underneath sheets and the other are my allstar sneakers in a voting box. I'm going to put them in some pretty frames and hang them up my wall. The tiny box is something I bought at a flea market the other day. What's inside of it, will stay a secret until my camera takes more pictures.

Don't (photo)shoot the deer!!!

Here's a final pictures of the photoshoot I did. I really liked this setting she made with the 50s cabinet and phone. I also wanted to show you something beautifull that I bought yesterday. My friends own their own shop "Kap 32" next to their weekly jobs. They sell furniture and jewelry. Yesterday evening they did a jewelry-evening, like one would do with tupperware. Now they had a brooch, I've been wanting since they opened their shop. Now after more then 6 months or so, it's finally mine, mine all mine!!! It's a beautiful silver deer brooch (real silver).

Oh yeah, stupid camera is still out of business!

Yes or no?!

I found these shoes on ebay and I don't know what to do. They are new, not vintage. But they kind of have a 40s look about them. They look comfortable, the price is reasonable, it has pretty details. But there's something about it, what makes me undecided. What do you all think of them ??

Bathing suit

I forgot to mention in my previous post, that I've found the prettiest bathing suit ever at work. It was old stock from last summer and it happened to be the last one in my size!! You can't believe how happy I was. But alas, thanks to my stupid camera I can't show you yet. But it's navyblue with white polkadots and frilly borders :) just love it !! And it's super comfortable and fits like a glove, like it was made just for me. So now I can't wait to go swimming in Sweden (which is in a month).

Saturday hair

This how my hair looked today. I'm getting better and better at this :) and I'm super proud of myself! The photos are really crappy though, my camera's battery is still dead. I managed to take one picture, from an odd angle, but in that picture you can see my haircurlthingy more clearly. In the noon I went to a fleamarket, but it was quite disappointing, there wasn't almost anything to look at. But I managed to find some things. I bought a beautiful bicycle brooch and a beautiful tiny jewelry box. Which I would show you if my stupid camera would work. I so need a better one!! My bangs are getting longer by the day. They're allready hitting my eyebrows, I'm curious how I will look without bangs. I've never been that fond of my forehead, but sometimes you need to work on issues you have with yourself! And then I'm also going to be able to do much more hairdo's when I don't have bangs. I'm going to leave now, great weekend everyone!
