My luck just keeps coming. Again I won an amazing dress from the 50s, again original. I'm super happy about it. Now as always, it's waiting time until it arrives.

just to say hello

I just wanted to say hello today. Since I started to work at H&M, I haven't had a free saturday.Now tomorrow is my first saturday off again!!! Yeeeeeeaaaayyyyyyyyy so happy. I'm going to celebrate it while enjoying myself with my niece Dorien. And I need to cut my bangs by the way, they're getting much too long!

A thing of beauty

Yesterday, I bought this dress on ebay. They asked €28/£25 for it, but I managed to get it for €22/£20. Which I think is a good price for an authentic 50s dress. I loved it the minute I saw it. Especially the fabric makes the dress super pretty. It resambles a cross stitch. I'm allready sure that this is going to be one of my new favourite dresses!!

Finally

Here it is then, finally the post I've been promising for a while (at least part of it). I decided that I would be better to show you the clothes I've bought recently when I'm wearing them. This gives you a better look of the clothes then on the hanger. Finally, I get to show you the beautiful fur I got from my grandmother. So pretty and matching to my haircolour! I also find a 3 ceramic cat in black and a different height, so now it's a little cat family, mommy, daddy and baby. Next to that is the most beautiful glass deer I told you about. The legs kind of remind of Dali paintings, where the elephants' legs were miles long! You can also see the pretty red necklace my grandmother gave me together with the fur collar as a little extra. Then I also got the cd from Seasick Steve which is awesome!! A little book about kitty cats. And something I bought a long long long.... time ago, where the pinup cocktailsticks in pale pink, blue and yellow. I desperatly need to give a cocktailparty that I can use them :). That's the negative part on still living at home, you can't give cocktailparties whenever you want because of the parents off course. Last, but not least, the most beautiful paper coasters ever !!! They are from babycham and are really really cute. Seeing that I'm fond of babycham, this really made my ebayday when I bought them.

The morning after

The morning after, I didn't have a hangover, but I did feel a bit super lazy!! Jana braided my hair before I left, which looked super with my leopard cardigan. The trainride home mostly consumed my time with eating a marsbar and yawning a whole lot!!! But the lazyness was worth the fun I had the night before.

Previous Saturday...

Last saturday, me and Karen went to Hanne and Jana's new appartement. We had a lot of fun!! We ate french fries (which come from Belgium actually). We ate cake with lot's of frosting and candy and we drank Champagne and made ourselves think we were real musicians :). Ok, I'm lying a bit, Hanne actually is a real musician :), next to her day time job she has a group which she sings in named "Gipsy on the Rocks". You should all check her out at www.myspace.com/gipsyontherocks.Afterwards, we went to a local café in Antwerp, called "The Joker". It was a really cozy café. There were some tattoos and rockabilly do's which made it even more cozier.

At the end of the night, we even grew some mustaches and come by some very cute kitties.

Oh yeah and today, I went by a new thrift store in the area and bought myself a cute little glass deer for only €2,5. Which I'll show you on sunday.

2 weeks later

I bought 2 vintage brooches today. One are 2 white doves and the other is a red swallow with white tips on his wings. They are oohh so pretty. Now I just have to wait until the postman let's them fly away to me.

Braidy day

Today I woar my hair like this. When I got home I also put some bows in, which made it extra cute! Last night was so much fun. Photos will be up this week (together with photos from my christmaspresents and stuff, things I've been promising for ooohh so long!). I'm also wearing my super nice leopard cardigan from H&M.

Me and Freddies!

Oh me oh my!! Today I woar my new pants, yes pants! It's been over a year since I've woar pants again. But a few weeks ago ,after looking at it time and time again, I decided to finally buy the Freddies of Pinewood jeans on ebay. Another reason why at that moment I couldn't resist anymore was that they were on sale!! I only paid € 30 for them, including shipping. I believe that, that ain't much for such quality jeans. And above all, they're brand new, but perfect 40s/50s, so I love them. I allready know now that I'm going to wear them a lot !! I promise to take a better picture soon of my and Freddies. You can also see my new shoes, I bought yesterday at New Look for only € 9, perfect to wear under my Freddies. Tomorrow I'm going to my best friends again, at their new appartement. Going for a drink and sleeping over. Probably being very lazy all sunday long! Enjoy your weekend everybody!

Cherrypies and leopards!

Todays outfit, one of my favourite circle skirt dresses. Matched with my new cherry flavoured cardigan from H&M. Something very usefull from working at H&M, is that every time new pretty things come into the store, I can immediatly hang it aside for myself :). This I did when I saw this cherry cardigan. So so pretty. I also allready bought the leopard version of the cardigan at H&M. And off course with my 25% off, it's even better !!

Sorry, that I still haven't shown you my christmas and newyears presents or other pretty things I bought myself :). But I've been so busy lately, that I haven't had the time to photograph them. I was planning on doing that today, but I had to go to my godmother for New Year. But I promise that by the end of the week (on my days off) I'm going to post about it!

A walk to work

Yesterday I walked to the trainstation because there was to much snow to go by bycicle. The fresh (but ice cold) air was refreshing, but not so healthy, seeing that I'm getting a cold and a soar throat. In the picture, right below, you can see my new blouse from h&m wich I bought with the giftcard I got from work (H&M) and also you can see one of my new skirts, I posted about earlier. This weekend they're pronouncing even more snow, very beautiful but dangerously cold!!

Below you can see a picture, of one of the pretty houses in Olen, the village I live in. I walk/bike by it every day when I go to catch my train to go to work. Even the mailbox is an old little cute house!

hi sorry about my abscence the few last days, but I've been very busy and haven't been home that much. But posts will come this weekend!!

I bought a Betty Boop (who is baking cupcakes) pink pyjama's today !! Super cute! It's from a store in Belgium ( in some other european countries) called Zeeman which means Sailor :). A very fun and cheap store.

New year's jiving !!

I really had an amazing time on New Year's Eve. Dinner was fun, and the party was more than fun !! All those fancy people looking the part. One girl in particular had such gorgeous hair and tattoos! I couldn't resist to take a picture for all you to see. At dinner, I ate oyster for the first time. I didn't like it at all. But I tried it, which makes myself proud! I also ate lobster for the first time, I allready ate crab but not yet lobster, but this I really liked !! Very yummy. And the most amazing dessert!! Chocolate-truffel icecream with chocolate sauce, oooh boy, so yummy. When we went home, we even had to time to stop to eat kebab :) which was really good at 4 o'clock in the morning :). To round it up, my night was amazing. I danced, ate, drank and laughed a lot.

I think I'm about to buy this pants. Which is going to be weird, because I haven't worn pants in like a year. But this one is perfect in my opinion, high waisted and 50s. With a cute top, this can't look bad !! The price ain't bad as well, € 33 including shipping costs for a new pair of jeans.
